The strange stories Pipa had been hearing from others made her increasingly hesitant about the idea of hiring Jackie. However, Sem saw things differently. He wasn’t as bothered by the stories and was more focused on Jackie’s work ethic. To him, she had proven herself reliable and capable, and he didn’t want to let the rumors cloud their judgment.
