Ever since Pipa and Sem had considered hiring Jackie, they had started to hear some strange rumors circulating about her. At first, they dismissed them as nothing more than gossip, but the stories seemed to be growing more persistent. There were whispers, hints of things that didn’t quite add up, but they had no solid proof to confirm any of it.
The problem was that nobody seemed to know if these rumors held any truth. They were just stories, half-told by various people, and no one could provide concrete evidence of anything suspicious. With so many unanswered questions, Pipa couldn’t help but wonder if there was more to Jackie than met the eye.
