Hesitant to judge Jackie
Sem was strongly against the idea of judging someone based on rumors, especially when there was no concrete evidence to suggest they were true. He believed in giving people the benefit of the doubt, and he didn’t want to make decisions based on hearsay. The stories people had been sharing seemed too vague to warrant any serious consideration, and he didn’t think it was fair to let them shape their opinion of Jackie.
When Jackie had first come into their lives, she had made a wonderful impression on both him and Pipa. Her professionalism and warm demeanor had won them over right from the start. Sem trusted his initial judgment and believed that the positive qualities they had seen in Jackie far outweighed the whispers that others had been spreading.
