The attorney speaks
The police officers returned, and the lawyer took charge of the conversation. After some time, the officers realized they couldn’t hold Sarah any longer, agreeing with the lawyer’s argument. They had no grounds to keep her at the station.
Sarah felt a wave of relief wash over her as she was allowed to leave. However, her curiosity about the mysterious creature she had found remained. She still wondered what kind of animal it was and what would happen to it and its babies.
