Meredith Baxter and Nancy Locke
Baxter married her partner of seven years, Nancy Locke, in a small and intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. All the important people in their lives were present, including Baxter’s five children. The couple wrote personal vows, which they exchanged during the ceremony. Music was central to the event, with a friend playing a series of songs on the guitar throughout the evening.
At the reception, Locke and her band delighted the guests with a mini-concert. The couple even took dance lessons to perfect their first dance together. Moving on from her previous relationship with the father of her children wasn’t easy for Baxter, but coming out in 2009 marked a significant step toward embracing her authentic self.
