Becoming wary
Pipa’s mind raced as she zoomed in on the screen, trying to make sense of what she was seeing. Jackie was holding an assortment of random tools, which didn’t seem to fit any logical explanation. Pipa’s curiosity turned to suspicion. What could she possibly need them for? Had Jackie broken something by accident? That didn’t seem likely, especially considering the way she was handling the tools.
As the minutes passed, Pipa’s unease deepened. It quickly became clear to her that Jackie wasn’t just casually fiddling with objects; she was preparing for something. The more Pipa watched, the more she realized that whatever Jackie was up to, it couldn’t end well.
