Fixated on watching

Pipa’s fixation on the screen had completely taken over her mind. It had reached a point where nothing else seemed to exist beyond the images flashing before her eyes. The rest of the world faded into the background—her responsibilities, her surroundings, even the simple need to eat or stretch. The iPad was her lifeline, the key to uncovering the truth she was so desperate to find. Every movement Jackie made was recorded, analyzed, and overanalyzed until Pipa could barely tell if she was seeing things clearly anymore.

Her obsession ran so deep that she ignored everything outside of it. Messages piled up on her phone, unanswered. Calls went straight to voicemail, no matter how many times they came in. Even when Sem called her three times in a row, she didn’t so much as glance at the screen. Whatever he had to say didn’t matter. Nothing mattered except what was happening in her house at that very moment.
