Lily Tomlin And Jane Wagner
While studying for her college degree, Lily Tomlin discovered her passion for performing. She began with stand-up comedy and stage performances before gaining national attention with her role in Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. The exposure from the show opened doors for other notable projects, including Nashville, All of Me, 9 to 5, I Heart Huckabees, and most recently, Grace and Frankie.
Throughout her career, Lily found her life partner in Jane Wagner. The two collaborated on several projects, with Jane working as the writer and Lily as the performer. One of their most celebrated collaborations was the Broadway production The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, which earned Lily a Tony Award for Best Lead Actress in a Play.
